Nationwide 2015 SSA Award Rates Released
The Social Security Administration reported a minimal shift in the nationwide award rates for Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) claims decided in fiscal year (FY) 2015.
The award rates for initial applications and reconsiderations increased by 1 percent, to 33 percent awarded and 12 percent awarded, respectively.
The award rate was 45 percent at the hearing level, the same as FY 2014. However, the hearing level award rate has experienced a significant decline since FY 2010 when the hearing award rate was 62 percent.
